The Long List of Commission Policies

(please read thoroughly before emailing me about a commission)

1) Like many other people, I'm poor and money matters.  So I do charge for commissions.
2) I will not do any commissions involving the following: pornography or any other sexually explicit material, gory/graphic scenes, and characters that do not belong to me (unless they belong to you, and you give me permission to use them of course).
3) I am pretty much open to doing commissions in any medium that is displayed on my art pages including jewelry and dreamcatchers but please note that such crafts and mediums will take longer and cost more.
4) How long it takes for me to finish a commission depends on what you asked for and how much time I can devote each day to finishing it although simple character sketches would probably be finished in the shortest amount of time.  But believe me, when you commission me for something, it will get done--just be patient.
5) Sorry...but I can only accept payment in the form of checks, in US dollars, written to Danielle N. Kalkofen.  After I receive full payment, the work on the commission will begin.
6) If you dramatically change your commission request (like change your character's description) after I have already started, I will get mad and stop and keep the money.  It's not fair to me to be told a different thing every time I turn around--it wastes my time and supplies.  So know what you want (in every little detail) before you commission me.
7) Do not use the image/craft that I create for you for any commercial purposes.  Although I don't own the character, the image is mine and I retain all reproductive rights and the like.  Now if you wanted to pay me to use it for commercial purposes......
8) I will sell prints of artwork and photographs that are already posted (given that the images or characters don't belong to someone else).
9) Please know that I reserve the right to refuse a request for commission without explanation to you.  However, most frequently it will because I am too busy with college work to work on commissions.
10) Prices for commissions will vary depending on what is asked for and what medium it is done in, what paper the image is printed on, etc. etc.  So I can only give a price after you have told me what you want.  But if you are looking for a general idea, look at the list below (for pictures anyway).

Original Sketches and Drawings  price negotiable

Depending on what you want, you get that set of sketches or drawings, all signed.

**please ask me about prints.  Some pictures I will not sell prints of either because of copyright or the original picture is in too poor of a quality to make a good print from.

Again please email me with what you want for exact prices.

11) Now that you know all the don'ts and the general prices, you are probably wondering how does this work?  Well, you read my policies, email me with a commission, I accept (or reject) the commission, you send me money, I start working.  I will send you approval pics at every stage. So for example, if you ordered a Photoshop pic, I will send you an approval pic after I do a detailed character sketch, an inked drawing, a flat color, and the finished pic.  After its done, I send it to you via email and post it on my website.

Still interested in a commission?  Then email me!
